Jabari Flanagan traces his educational experience from home to an Afrocentric school to a predominantly white middle and high school and university. He shares how his experiences as a drummer on the drill team created a place that felt like home. He carries this analogy throughout the film to explore how his best school experiences created that same “home” feeling.

Jabari Flanagan

Jabari Flanagan is a 21-year-old finance major with a minor in business analytics and sociology at the University of Nevada, Reno. Flanagan is driven by a passion for modeling noble qualities in society. Inspired by his upbringing in North Las Vegas, Jabari recognizes the importance of supporting each individual within the Black community. His inspiration to major in finance stems from the lack of opportunities and resources in his community. With a fervent interest in marketing and property management, Jabari brings a unique blend of skills in financial analysis, data interpretation, and studies in human society. He is known for his effective communication skills, original thinking, and dedication to customer satisfaction. Jabari leverages his expertise in dynamic and growth-oriented environments and is fueled by his commitment to empowering others.

Jabari is an Intern for Mentor of King of Jewels Las Vegas, President and Nevada Assistant Area Director of the Phi Beta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity incorporated. In his spare time he is a drummer and an actor appearing in one TV series, four short two feature length films.
